Horus University – Egypt. Horus Cultural Salon | October 12, 2025. Under the generous patronage of Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and the leadership of Professor Dr. El-Saeed Abdel-Hadi, President of the University, and in the presence of the Vice Presidents, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Omar Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, an exceptional meeting was held on Sunday, October 12, as part of the Horus Cultural Salon activities, entitled: “Architecture and Philosophy: From Building with Stone to Building with Thought.” The meeting featured: Professor Dr. Dalila El-Kerdani, Professor of Architecture and Urban Planning at Cairo University, who elevated architecture to the horizons of thought, where space becomes an open text, and stone becomes a memory pulsating with identity and meaning. Architect Hamdi El-Satouhi, Assistant Minister of Culture for Cultural and Artistic Projects and Head of the Cultural Development Fund, who illuminated the human dimension in architecture, where it transcends the tangible space to embrace human philosophy and awareness of the world. The meeting was an amazing intellectual and artistic journey, in which architecture was manifested as a philosophy, and art as a dialogue between matter and spirit, so that the Horus Cultural Salon could redefine the eternal relationship between thought and construction, and between the visible and the invisible, in a new language of existence and creativity.
