Program Name: Graphics and Media Arts Program.

1. General Program Objectives

The Graphics and Media Arts Program begins at the second year of study.

The program is one of the Fine Arts and Digital Design programs that contributes to preparing graduates distinguished by artistic talent and advanced design ability in producing both static and animated imagery.

The program focuses on studying all artistic and technical media related to visual art reception in an innovative and contemporary manner for the viewer. It explores various media, printing techniques, and design approaches in order to develop artistic messages that influence the audience and communicate with a wide spectrum of art viewers.

The technology used varies according to the type of medium, blending traditional flat art with modern technological tools, as well as multimedia techniques such as animation films using different technologies.

By the end of the program, the student will be able to:

  • Enable students to understand the general principles and aesthetic elements of book design and animation arts.
  • Provide students with the knowledge and skills required in the field of animation and equip them with standards of critique and analysis.
  • Develop students’ teamwork skills in the field of graphics and media arts.
  • Train students to find appropriate artistic and formal solutions to design problems.
